It boils down to this, I think: a difference in philosophy. I have the philosophy that to achieve anything, you have to have focus and determination. Cody is of the philosophy that one should be spontaneous and exist within the whims of the moment. And ultimately, he came to view me as a stifling oppressor and I came to view him as a shiftless layabout. And we were probably both right to an extent.
