US is not going to war with China. Ever. Unless something SERIOUSLY fucking changes. Both nations have far to much to lose and way to little to gain with such action, the powers that be, companies like Wal-Mart, Apple. etc, don't want to lose their cheap supply of labor, because their is one common language that all humans speak. MONEY. Money is the thing that all groups can relate to.
Ever? Before WW2 the US and Japan seemed unlikely to ever go to war. But they did. Here’s a scenario for you: imagine that in the future we have still not truly discovered a viable substitute for fossil fuels, yet our infrastructure still relies on them to run. Now imagine China is in the same boat. Do you think that two fossil fuel starved countries will politely share whatever wells remain? Things could get tense in such a scenario. Diplomacy breaks down. Both sides become convinced that the other is wholly unreasonable. Paranoia sets in. One decides to “attack them before they attack us!” That’s how most conflicts happen. A breakdown of communication and the onset of the paranoid notion that the other side is an unreasonable villain poised to strike at any moment.
